It’s Hard to Argue with the Evidence, Huma Abedin May Have Broken Federal Law
As the Huma Abedin emails are released, President Donald Trump urges that Huma Abedin, 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s close aide, be arrested and sent to jail. As has become the custom, in a tweet, Trump urged authorities to act, accusing Abedin of giving “foreign agents” access to sensitive emails. The FBI found the allegedly compromising emails in the server of one Anthony Weiner, who once held the post of New York State congressman, replacing none other than now-Senator Charles Schumer.
Of course, Weiner is better known as the star for what might be aptly called “Weinergate.” A few years before their interest in Abedin, the FBI was interested in the Abedin-Weiner household computer files to determine what they might reveal about Anthony Weiner’s reported penchant for sending sexually loaded messages—complete with duly related “equipment”—to a minor. The Saga of the Infamous Huma Abedin Anthony Weiner Emails
Apart from many other interesting things that the emails must have revealed about “Don Juan de Weiner,” the FBI managed to find fascinating things about his ex-wife, Huma Abedin. Weiner displayed, apart from his personal, let’s say “belongings,” a lack of judgement. He wasn’t careful with sensitive information.
Abedin and former president Bill Clinton adviser Justin Cooper were the ones who set up the now infamous “private server” that Hillary Clinton used. Abedin had told the investigators that she had not heard of that server’s existence until Hillary Clinton left the U.S. State Department, where she was Secretary of State until the start of President Obama’s second term in January of 2013. President Trump did not waste a second. He promptly demanded Abedin be arrested because she even passed on passwords—the infamous Huma Abdein passwords—through her own personal Yahoo account.

Clearly, Trump also thinks that former FBI director James Comey, whom he fired in May 2017, should also be indicted. The point Trump makes, evidently, is that Comey—and by extension, special prosecutor Robert Mueller—has been running what the president might call a “fake” investigation into his alleged collusion with Russian agents to win the 2016 presidential election.
In the context of the investigation—and Trump’s calls to arrest Huma Abedin—it’s important to remember that in 2013, hackers managed to get a hold of just about every Yahoo e-mail address, selling some of the information they contained to the highest bidder on the “dark web.” Some may contain compromising of this sensitive information, likely related to Huma Abedin’s State Department days. Does Trump’s Huma Abedin’s “jail wish” have a chance of coming true?
Yes. It’s looking bad for Huma, who apparently ignored basic security protocols. Comey had re-opened the “email” file days before the election, only to close it again. Trump suspects that Comey had already found sufficient evidence to charge Hillary with incompetence or criminal negligence, but decided not to pursue it.
Trump himself faces similar allegations over the allegations contained in the so-called Russiagate problem. He is accused of having disclosed details of a top secret Israeli military operation against ISIS to the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov.
