Can North Korea’s Nuclear Weapons Reach the United States?
Previously, the idea of North Korea attacking the United States with a nuclear weapon sounded ridiculous, like a bunch of words being mashed together. Looking at the present situation, however, it seems that North Korea achieving its goal of hitting the United States with missiles is becoming more of a reality than an abstract concept.
If the United States were to be hit by a nuclear weapon, it would be devastating for the citizens and the security of the country. American intelligence agencies believe that North Korea already has the capability, or at least is on its way to reaching that capability in the coming year.
Will North Korea Launch a Nuclear Missile and Target the U.S.?
North Korea’s nuclear weapons are not fake; the country has been testing such weapons toward the direction of Japan. Once a North Korean rocket is launched, however, there is no controlling the final destination. The fact that North Korea doesn’t worry about Japan’s reaction shows that the North Korean government has no care for other countries.
North Korea’s recent rocket tests show that its military is willing to risk everything to hit their main target, the United States.
I believe, however, that North Korea will not test its rockets against the United States. Rather, I believe that when North Korea thinks it’s ready, it will attempt to hit the United States for real, with nuclear weapons instead of test rockets. It will be a “one-and-done” type of action.
The reason for this is that North Korea does not want to show all of its cards. If North Korea attempts to hit the U.S. and fails, it would likely result in the United States starting a war and invading North Korea. This would be very bad news for North Korea, since the United States is a military powerhouse. Further, the United States would not have any problem funding a war, due to having a good credit rating and the largest economy in the world.
Nuclear Test North Korea Video
The Middlebury Institute’s Center for Nonproliferation Studies has released a video showing photo and video propaganda from North Korea’s nuclear testing program. The photos and videos in this compilation have either been released to the public or have been taken by outsiders visiting North Korea. This group of analysts at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey believes that North Korea has very powerful machines that could do some major damage. They believe that that North Korea’s nuclear weapons could reach any major U.S. city, including New York or Los Angeles.
Final Word on North Korea’s Nuclear Program
If North Korea hits the United States with rockets, it would only result in a short-term gain—and many long-term negatives for North Korea.
If North Korea managed to hit the United States with missiles (regardless of whether they were nuclear), this act would start a war. The most likely result would be the United States bombing and invading North Korea, even if North Korea’s nuclear weapons program was still in its testing phase. The military conflict would also lead allies of the United States to get involved, in order to protect their home countries and to ensure that nothing more happens to the United States.
